"This is it," Micky groaned, sprawled out on the floor. "The zenith, the apex of heat! I can't take much more of this..."
"Oh, sure, you can," Mike muttered from behind a magazine. "You were born out here in California; you know it gets hotter than this. Now, hush up, and get us both some popsicles outta the icebox. That's if you can do it without meltin' into a puddle on the way over there."
"Humph!" Micky reluctantly rose, doing as he was told. "Some people just aren't capable of feeling any sympathy for others. Cherry or grape?"
"Grape, please."
