Amnesty XXX: 292:Unexpected/297: Telephone - Original - Too Soon, Too Known, Too True

Title: Too Soon, Too Known, Too True
Original (or) Fandom: Original
Rating: G/K
Notes: It's too soon, but she knows it's nonetheless true.

She cries out, aged eyes flinging open from a nap that both had not been wanted and yet had not lasted long enough, just as so many things in her long, tragic life had not lasted long enough. "DON'T!" she cries even as a hand touches the ringing telephone. They don't listen. They never do, just as no one ever listens when she warns them of her prophecies.

They're more than visions. They're the truth. Nothing is unexpected when you have the eyesight she does, but no one ever listens.

Tears fall down a wrinkled face. Her daughter is dead.

The End

How awful for her! A start look at the dark parts of being psychic. Especially when you can't help anyone because they won't listen. 😢

Sorry to hear about your dad. Addictions are rough on everyone.

Same here re: being psychic. I've had a few times of 'knowing' things, and my mom & I had a bond where we often knew things about the other, but nothing major. Nowadays I suffer from severe anxiety, so all that psychic stuff goes out the window because I'm always having a feeling something bad is about to happen.
