All was not well in Monica's kitchen, it seemed.
She stared at Joey, who was slumped at her kitchen table. Clutching his jaw, he was moaning softly.
"What happened to you," she asked, coming over to worriedly huddle over him. Then, she saw something odd. "And why are you playing with my star anise pods?"
"I wanted to know what they tasted like," Joey mumbled. "And I nearly broke a tooth. It still hurts!"
"You're not supposed to eat them whole," Monica sighed. "Not to be unsympathetic, but this is what you get for digging in my spice rack unsupervised."
