Jiang Cheng stared at the carnage. The kitchen had pink and green sauce dripping from the ceiling, noodles stuck to the wall, and black scorch marks all over the stove.
A spice rack that normally lived on wall beside the stove was a smoking ruin. Jiang Cheng’s wok was melted into a bizarre art nouveau sculpture, charred completely black.
Wei Wuxian had the grace to look abashed at the utter disaster. But he still opened his mouth, a nervous laugh escaping.
“That was unexpected.”
Jiang Cheng turned to look at his genius, yet idiotic, brother. He said one word.
“Run.”
