Notes/Warnings: An excess of feels? And reference to canon character death (spoilers for Quiet Minds)

Rumplestilskin knows what day it is.   It's been two years since it happened. Two years since Bae's death; and it doesn't get easier.  He's been through what's known in this world as "the five stages." But the last one is the hardest. There are nights where he lays in bed, Bae's final words echoing through his mind. 

 

"I love you, Papa." 

 

Belle is here now; her love makes it a bit easier. She takes his hand and walks with him to the grave site, kneeling down next to him as he begins to speak.

 

"My dear boy. Happy birthday, Bae.."

Very poignant, very sweet, very heartbreaking!

(Psst! You may want to run this through a quick spell check, or at least take a look at your Bae's "final" words echoing! Sorry, but I admit that did give me a bit of a pause.)
