Piper tenses as she feels the familiar twinge that courses through Leo's muscles as he's called. They have so much talk about, so much to plan... But she knows she has to wait. She knows his calling, especially now, must come first. She knows she has to be patient.
She sighs, her forehead against his. She has to bide time; there's no other way. "I love you," she whispers and lets him go, no matter how much it hurts.
He leaves her with a hug, though, a kiss that promises so much more, and a whispered, "I love you too."
