Segiri unenthusiastically poked at her 'meal', a nutrient cube with a side order of pills. Segiri had explained to the designated cook several times what a rice ball was and how it improved morale to eat actual meals. She's been rewarded with a grey food cube made out of rice. It even tasted like rice.
Some of them didn't even like leaving their custom-made miniature Levnises. They still felt as though they were parts of the machines.
I've got an entire colony to teach how to be humans and not robots, Segiri mused. I barely understand what humanity means myself.
