Notes: Dawn is afraid. She's not the only one.
She has tried now, for so many years, to emulate her big sister. Whenever she's scared, whenever she's in pain, whenever she's terrified out of her wits, she always tries to think of what Buffy would do and act accordingly. She finds her strength and courage not in being herself but in trying to be like her big sister.
That hasn't changed with Buffy's death. Now more than ever before, she needs her courage, needs her reassurance. Yet, still, she's terrified inside. "Spike... Will you hold me?"
"Dawnie, I -- "
"Not like that." She knows he's hurting too.
He hugs her.
