"I'm surprised Mr North isn’t joining us,” the CIA agent said.  “This is such a good party, it’s a shame he hasn’t come.”

“He’s not one for many social occasions,” Ros said.  “I’m afraid big parties really aren’t his thing.”

“He doesn’t know what he’s missing,” the agent said.  “It’s a beautiful clear night, too.  That crescent moon is shining very brightly.”

“It is,” Adam agreed.  “But also the timing’s wasn’t right for him.” He glanced at Ros, who quirked her lips.

“Bit of a lone wolf, I suppose.”  The agent never understood why Adam and Ros burst into laughter.
