Mr. Connor looked up from his newspaper. „Merideth? Everything okay?“

„I can't believe he is already eighteen and will attend college this year. Suddenly he is so mature, but only yesterday, he was still my baby boy.“

„We did a good job.“ Mr. Connor smiled. „He's a decent young guy who will make his way. No need to worry.“

„I know. But this doesn't make it any easier. I will miss him.“
