Notes: MC and FL are having a friendly chat. Too bad MC takes territory seriously and FL is trespassing.
"How can you refuse? It's more than generous."
"Pretty easily, actually. I don't know you and you keep looking at me like I'm edible."
He jerked backwards, pride stung. "I don't eat humans."
"Hah! You just pretty much admitted you aren't human!"
She seemed unreasonably happy with herself. It annoyed him.
"Cannibalism is wrong," he continued, rolling his eyes. "Prion disease isn't pretty."
All of those statements were true, for various definitions of 'true'. Still, she didn't seem swayed from thinking that she'd caught him out.
"You can't fool me," she taunted.
"Not when you're a fool already," he agreed.
