"You don't scare me and you don't impress me," she said, turning her back on him.
He watched her walk away, letting his inner beast rage and froth within the confines of his control. It was her prerogative to choose who she associated with. Not even he had the right to insist. Her manners were utterly abhorrent, of course, but she was new to their community and would learn in time.
Even so.
"She has no idea who you are, does she?"
"Yes and no," he replied in answer to his loyal second. "The title, but not what it means."
