Zelda's warning only confirms what Rauru was expecting: He's unlikely to survive his next encounter with Ganondorf. The leader of the Gerudo has become something far too powerful. Their impending confrontation will almost certainly result in heavy losses on either side.
Nevertheless, Rauru feels a keen and surprising optimism regarding the future of his kingdom. For Hyrule does have a future, as Zelda's mere presence attests. Whatever the result of the upcoming conflict, Hyrule will survive. If Rauru himself falls, then it is what he must do. A true King must be at the forefront.
It's a sacrifice worth making.
