There I found you, knees to your chest, face shadowed by your bangs. I had never seen your hair down before now. Something about it made my stomach turn, but it always did when I saw you like this.
Hey, get up, I pestered. You wouldn't move. I need your lyrics. I can't draw without them.
Leave me alone, you muttered.
Finish your work first. I crossed my arms. Get up. You can't sulk here forever.
Your eyes were blank. They held nothing yet I saw the weight of the world trapped inside.
Hurry up, I said. You're worrying us.
