Notes: Lei Kugo learns not to hide.
Problems don't go away if you hide from them. She hadn't really learned it until that night.
She'd finally stepped out from the forest where she'd hidden among the trees, living as a half-feral bandit. Under the Sifu's training she'd started to learn discipline and purpose. The other disciples became her first friends.
Then she'd lost them all. She had been the only one not hiding or fleeing. Only she had survived.
She wondered if it had been worth it. Still, something inside her refused to let herself disappear back into the trees.
She had a legacy to carry on.
