Summary: A flower yearns for the sun.
His first sight of His Highness Xie Lian was a ray of light in his dark world of pain and hatred. As a child, a young soldier, a feeble ghost fire, a nameless masked ghost, a Calamity risen from the forge of Mount Tonglu, Hua Cheng has followed that light as naturally and helplessly as a flower turns toward the sun.
If he is strong enough, serves his god well enough, perhaps he may someday earn a gentle smile or a word of approval. (He dares not think that his god would ever accept the unworthy offering of his heart.)
