Summary: He won't have another chance; there can't be any mistakes.
Mo Xuanyu carefully drew out the array with a bit of charred wood, then sat back on his heels to look at it. He had puzzled out the Yiling Patriarch’s notes, filling in the gaps where the writing was faded or burned away or illegibly smeared with blood.
But it all looked right. He erased the array with his sleeve, not caring about the black smudges on his clothing, and drew it again from the beginning, this time faster and with a surer hand. There couldn’t be any mistakes when he drew the array for real, with his own blood.
