Miki pretended not to see Kozue hide her phone away the moment he stepped into her room with a tray laden with soup and crackers and throat drops that were actually candy. It was better if she wasn't actually that sick and was instead being dramatic about a cold.
"I was dozing," she said as Miki set the tray down. Miki nodded and she coughed, a genuine cough that made them both frown. Sick enough, Miki decided at that moment, to deserve to be spoiled just a bit.
Just a bit, though.
He wouldn't do everything she asked.
Not yet.
