“I don’t know what to do with Dawn!” said Buffy, slamming down the whiskey shot that Spike had poured for her.

She made a wildly disgusted face, sticking her tongue out.

“She’s a teen going through a rebellious phase, it’ll pass,” he said, drinking his own shot.

“She’s been stealing stuff from almost every shop in Sunnydale! It’s not just a phase… she’s screaming for help and I—I’ve been so disconnected,” she sighed. “I can’t even help myself.”

“Hey, I can be there when you talk to her. You know, for support.”

She smiled shyly. “I’d appreciate that, thank you.”
