Summary: Machine Gun Willy and Anubis manage to have a civil conversation. Sort of. There's only one explosion.
"The hell did you get past my troops?" Willy growled.
An enigmatic, self-satisfied smirk that made him want to punch the kid's lights out was the only answer from the tall, jackal-masked youth known as Anubis. With a snap of his finger, a bolt of lightning struck the spot inches in front of Willy.
"Clever trick you got there. Don't impress me none, though, I've been through worse."
"And that's exactly what I want to talk to you about, mister Mackey. You've seen the apocalypse with your own eyes, have you not?"
"Yeah, an' I don't wanna remember it," the veteran winced as the all-consuming white light burned through his vision again, the roaring, the screams and feral panic as the whole world fell apart...
"By the way," he continued, "Your 'vision' of fixing the world? Bunch 'a horseshit. Even if you got it back to how it was, it'd just happen again. People are scum, kid, and society is filth, like the garbage heap you've set yourself up as the God of."
"I agree it will not be as easy as just resetting the clock," Anubis smiled, "But the Gods have made the path clear to me."
"Lissen, kid, I admire your grit, I dislike you the least out of my rivals - Duke is a very, very twisted man and as for that bitch Okada, I, um..." Willy muttered under his breath, "She just makes me uncomfortable, okay? Doesn't make us friends, though."
"I understand loud and clear. I will, however, call upon you when the time comes. I see you potential in you, mister Mackey, and there is a place for you in the new world, if you want it."
"Go f..." began Willy, but Anubis had already disappeared in a flash of purple light and smoke.
