Buffy picked up baby Joyce and went to check why Spike was uttering a string of profanities from the kitchen.
“We’re out of carrots!” he barked when he saw her.
“Okay?”
“I’m building a snowman for Joyce, I need a bloody carrot for the nose!”
She looked at the baby cooing in her arms. “Honey, she’s a baby, I don’t think—”
“It hardly ever snows in sodding San Francisco, she’ll have her snowman and a picture to remember it!”
“Fine. Use a stick.”
“No, sticks are for the arms!”
“A stake?”
“You’re a genius!” he said, before kissing her soundly.
