Lucifer had books everywhere. His bookpiles had bookpiles, and his personal quarters were more bookpiles than anything else. (And had gotten worse in the years since Azazel had last been there.)
Azazel half-expected Lucifer's bed to just be a tower of books but he wasn't going to say anything. (Not like Lucifer was going to give him a chance to speak, anyway.)
Instead, there was only one book, surprisingly half-read, with a single black feather between its pages as a bookmark. (But Lucifer had always liked his wings.)
He made sure the book was forgotten and his wings were not.
