"I'm not in your way, am I, Jeeves?” Bertie asked as he leaned against the work surface.

“Not at all, sir,” Jeeves replied.

“I do like watching you cook.”

“Of course, sir.  If I could just get the wooden spoon, we don’t want the sauce to spoil.”

Bertie shifted slightly and stared intently as Jeeves stirred the sauce, before watching with a great deal of satisfaction as Jeeves served the dinner onto two plates. 

“It always seems a shame you have to cook for yourself,” he said.

“I believe it is the best way for us to eat together, sir.”
