Notes: Miroku/Sango - When Sango discovers the wounds of shouki, Miroku learns something about consequences for his actions.
Sango’s fingers were gentle as she traced the scars that climbed up his arm, seeking his heart.
Miroku watched, rapt.
“Do they hurt?” she asked. Her face was achingly beautiful, her voice thick with despair.
“No,” he promised her. This, at least, was not a lie. Thanks to the potion master, he felt no pain from his wounds.
She bowed her head. He would drink the pain-numbing poison every time if it meant he could stay beside this woman a little longer.
He had just one regret: his wounds might be painless, but he also felt nothing of Sango’s touch.
