Dawn half dragged a disgruntled Spike behind her across the graveyard.
“You’re evil, you know?” he groused. “Using emotional manipulation to gain leverage over me.”
“I didn’t manipulate you!”
“Did too!” he insisted. “Made me and the witches think you were missing, you did. You knew I’d comb through the whole soddin’ Sunnyhell to find you.”
“Fine. I’m sorry, okay? Almost there.”
“Thought we were friends,” he mumbled.
“We are,” said Dawn, stopping where Buffy was buried. “And I hate coming here as much as you do. Thought we could hate it together.”
He squeezed her hand, giving in. “A’right.”
