Title: Unquenchable
Fandom: Thor: Ragnarok
Rating: 12/Gen
Prompt: Lorde songs - 'Glory and Gore'
Notes: major spoilers, character death, description of messy death
note: I finally saw Thor: Ragnarok and, as an official cross-fandom Surtr fangirl, appreciated seeing my favourite grand cosmic arsonist. Not normally a writer of popular fandoms but I LITERALLY SQUEED. ... Yeah, I am weird.
Surtur surveyed the smouldering ruins with immense satisfaction. His burning blade had fallen upon the foolish destiny-obstructing woman and reduced her to an unrecognisably mangled, charred corpse.
He knew he had been handed the victory by a very temporary ally who did not respect him. He was the joke of destiny, stuck in his ways. He did not care. He was inevitable, unchanging fate and his flames would be fed in the end, always.
He knew by now that the core's explosion would take him out too. He shrugged and bellowed a drunken victory cry as everything went bright white.
