"I can kiss that date goodbye," Davy mumbled, slumping in an easy chair.
Peter handed him a cola. "Wasn't Caroline fun to be around?"
"Hardly. I think she went out with me because I mentioned that I was in a band. She wouldn't let me take her on the date until she heard one of our songs on the radio. We were in front of her house, in the car, for half an hour, until I could persuade her to accept that we're a band who hasn't recorded, yet. Then she accused me of pretending to be in a band."
