Dawn stepped into the kitchen, frowning at her sister who was staring at the spinning microwave plate.
“Buffy?” she called, right as the microwave dinged.
“Dawnie, hey! Dinner’s ready,” said Buffy, retrieving their meal. “I only had time to heat frozen pizza. Long day.”
The teen sat, smiling. “No problem. Some are calling frozen meals the renaissance of cooking.”
“Really?”
“No,” Dawn chuckled. “Hey, you look worried. Is it because of those spirits at school?”
Spike’s in the school basement, acting crazy. “Does my hair bun give me a mom look? Honest,” she asked, instead.
Dawn nodded. “Yep. Lose it.”
