Hercule Poirot looked coldly at his latest client. The man had marched in, almost pushing Miss Lemon to one side, and sat down without being invited. He had then demanded that Poirot drop all his other cases and assist him at once and for as long as was necessary.

“Monsieur,” Poirot said. “You may have found that flaunting your title has got you what you want in the past, but Poirot only takes cases which are of interest to him. And yours is not one of them. I will thank you to leave my premises immediately and not to return.”
