Viscount Weybridge had left his card at our lodgings, with a note saying that he would be returning at 6 o’clock sharp and requesting we be at home at that time.  Holmes had not been happy, but, as we had no other obligation, had complied.  He was even less amused when the viscount prevaricated, failing to provide the information Holmes had asked for, and therefore Holmes had refused the case.  The viscount visibly simmered as he started to depart and was almost out of the door, before extremely reluctantly turning back and saying, “Very well, I will tell you everything.”
