Crackling purple vines shot out in front of Blanc, cutting through the tendrils of malevolent blood-red light that streamed from the twisted spectral face. It screamed, gibbering some more random words and calling Blanc's name in furious condemnation as it writhed in a swirl of red static.

"I just saved your data integrity," Arfoire drawled, examining her sharp purple fingernails, "From your own outdated copy protection. Again. Where's my reward?"

"Your reward is me turning a blind eye, you thieving..."

Swift as a serpent, Arfoire leant in for a kiss. Her lush purple lips tasted like wine.

"Thanks!"

Blanc blushed.
