She'd hugged herself as she thought about the news she had written in her letter to her husband. How strange that still sounded, they'd only been married for two months, and of that only spent two days together as man and wife before he had returned to duty. Now she had told him of a further change in their lives at the doctor had confirmed she was carrying a baby, their baby. She wasn't to know her life was about to change again, for her young man had just landed as part of D-Day and had died on Sword Beach.
