"You are really trying my patience," Babbitt growled, having caught Micky in the midst of his usual silly shenanigans.
"I'm also trying to enjoy life, and be myself," Micky shot back. "And that's hard to do, when someone's being rude and hostile to me. I can't change who I am, and I wouldn't want to. Wackiness is as much a part of my nature as surliness seems to be a part of yours."
Babbitt gawked at him, livid. "Your disrespectful attitude--"
"Is only a reflection of yours. Respect goes both ways, sir," Micky pointed out. "Please try to remember that."
