“Yes, trust me! The old high-school ruins have the perfect Halloween vibe,” Dawn squealed into the phone. “Everyone will talk about our party!”
“Yeah, especially the newspapers,” mumbled Spike from the couch. “Dumb kids die in freaky accident at Halloween party in run-down building.”
“Gotta go, Janice. Talk later?” she said, rolling her eyes at Spike while hanging up. “What’s your problem?” she asked.
“You should know better than to throw a party above the Hellmouth. Just have a spooky movie night or something.”
Dawn snorted. “So original. Like that’s never been done before.”
“You’re never too safe in Sunnydale.”
