Buffy walked to the crypt, using her senses to determine whether or not there was a vampire inside and she wasn’t surprised when she got no “vamp tingles.”
Pushing the door open, she stepped inside and looked around; the many empty snack wrappers scattered on the floor suggested that Clem was still on crypt-sitting duties. Maybe she needed to come back down to earth and stop waiting for Spike to return and reclaim his fancy digs from the loose-skinned demon.
It was clear that he’d finally taken the coward’s way out of town and out of her life. For good.
