Lucifer spread his wings and took to the sky in a rustle of feathers. It was still early; most of his group was still sleeping off the night before and the festivities they'd been greeted with.
He never would have imagined it; he never could have imagined a bright pink and orange sunrise and his freedom. Not after...
But there he was, the fallen angel that had ended the world, saved to protect that same world.
The sunrise was really beautiful, but he wasn't about to wake the others.
They'd earned their rewards and rest.
He... kept watching the sun.
