Dedede didn’t want to choose.
Meta Knight was rough and gruff and not given to the affectionate, but when it came down to it, he did have his moments of softness reserved only for the king.
Razz, on the other hand, had always been open about her love, slipping her small hand in his larger one and shining him a smile for any and all to see.
Dedede didn’t want to choose—so he didn’t, and the three were all the happier for it. Besides, it wouldn’t be fair to the world if he were just for one, after all.
