Chandler discovered Joey slumped before the television set, looking bereft and forlorn.
"Hey, what's the matter," he asked, patting his friend on the shoulder. "Don't have any auditions lined up?"
Slowly, Joey looked up, gazing at him in sorrow. "Nah. Estelle's gone on vacation."
"She didn't set you up with anything before she left?" He knew, from plenty of discussions, that Joey's agent could be a bit of a flake. But this seemed a bit extreme.
"Nope. She called me early this morning, and said she was leavin'. 'I'm headed for Aruba,' she told me. 'For the next two weeks, you're on your own, kid. Make yourself useful. Surprise me.' I'd like to know what the hell I'm supposed to do, in the meantime."
Glancing at the TV screen, Chandler watched for a moment as a hyperactive contestant smothered Bob Barker with kisses on a rerun of 'The Price is Right'. A marquee banner scrolled across the bottom of the screen, announcing an upcoming marathon of 'Family Feud'.
"Well, Joe," he chuckled, "as much fun as I know you're having, bingeing on game shows all day, I'm sure Estelle had something more productive in mind."
"Ah, get Plinkoed," Joey muttered.
