"It can't be helped," Miss Marple replied, "there's a lot of it about. The vicar's worried if any more of the choir go down with it, they won't be able to have enough choir practices before the Carol Service."

"Even so."

"Stay in the warm, have lots of hot soothing drinks and you'll soon feel better. We can go next week instead."

"It won't be the same."

"And if you go today, you'll be ill over Christmas, which you won't want at all."

Poor Dolly. I was sick for Christmas when I was nineteen, and it sucked.
