Notes: Dr Watson stands by his wife's grave.

He laid the flowers gently on the grave, at the same time scooping up the wilted ones which remained from his previous visit.  The flowers had been chosen with as much care as they were when the recipient had been his daily companion.  Then he had laughed at her talk of the meaning of flowers, now he specifically searched for those which would convey his thoughts.  Gypsophila for everlasting love, and marigolds for sorrow, were amongst his favourites.  He mourned her loss every day, but never once did he regret meeting her and the great joy she had brought him.
