"I'm so pleased you're in, Miss Marple," Lucy Eyelesbarrow said, "I was hoping you would be."
"Come in, my dear," Miss Marple said. "I shall make us some tea in a minute, but I can see you have something you're longing to tell me."
"Dermot has asked me to marry him," Lucy began tentatively. "You're not upset, are you?"
"Certainly not. And have you accepted?"
Lucy smiled widely. "Yes, I have."
"My dear, I am delighted for you. For you both. I should offer you champagne, but I'm afraid it will have to be tea." She doubted Lucy would mind.
"Come in, my dear," Miss Marple said. "I shall make us some tea in a minute, but I can see you have something you're longing to tell me."
