Scorpius told himself he wasn't nervous. There wasn't any reason to be, not really, because all summer he'd practiced by going to Grandmother's house and to Aunt Daphne's, and he'd only cried a little the first couple of times. But now he could stay a whole week and only think about home a bit, so he knew how to be away, really. The only change was how long. Christmas break wasn't that far away. And Mummy had promised to write every week and he had Mister Wings safely tucked in the bottom of his trunk, so he was ready. Really.
