Adam opened the freezer and stared inside, then called out, "Lucas, when I asked you to stop on the way home to get something for dessert for tonight, I hadn't intended you to buy two cheesecakes, one black forest gateau and a large tub of ice cream."
"Sorry," Lucas called back. "I couldn't make up my mind and rather than waste time I grabbed everything I fancied. There's also the ingredients for a crumble and a trifle in the cupboard."
"That should last for almost the whole week Wes is home."
"I'll get a fruit pie from the baker's tomorrow."
