The counter shone until blinding. Chrome twinkled in the sunset light. And still no customers.

Francis sighed, cheek on the counter. No one came to his shift; why would they? Next would come his job, then-

"Hey there!" 

Takumi, suddenly there, smiled, outlined by the setting sun. "What's your biggest dessert?"

"Uhh..." Francis turned to glance at the menu, "That'd be a... Peachyville Peach Pie Split?"

"Great, I'll take one."

Francis made it, rolling his eyes - no work, then too much - then handed it to Takumi. 

"You gonna join me?"

"Huh?"

"I can't eat something this big. C'mon!"
