As Time Goes By
The years roll by, but they spend a weekend together in each one. At the hotel. The passage of time marks her. He doesn’t seem to notice.
To him she is as beautiful as ever. She’s only become more graceful, her eyes still have that naughty glint.
He wants to put it into words, her magic, but when he sees her again he knows they don’t do her justice.
They part. He talks for weeks of her.
As Pat said to the Captain, “Say what you like about Thomas’ poetry, when he finds a lady he likes, he stays loyal.”
