Buffy stepped into the kitchen and went to the counter ignoring Giles who was at the table.
“Silence treatment? Very mature.”
She turned around. “Like your passive-aggressive commentary.”
“I won’t apologize, Buffy.”
She shrugged. “Neither will I. And you can spare me the remainder of your guilt-tripping speech from last night. Won’t help.”
“Spike doesn’t deserve all your loyalty and mercy.”
“The old Spike would have ripped you apart for what you tried to pull last night. I’m merely showing him the same mercy he decided to have for you and Wood.”
“You’re wrong.”
“And you’re entitled to your opinion.”
