Notes: Mostly Melissa can bury the past, but when Alex talks about childhood memories of Hannah, that's when the guilt hits home.
It was moments like this, when Alex talked about watching reality TV with Hannah, that the guilt hit home for Melissa.
Mostly she could push the wilderness out of her mind, forget she had ever been surviving Yellowjacket Melissa and not Kelly Finch. But then Alex would share a childhood memory of Hannah, talk about what could have happened to her, and all the while Melissa knew that Hannah was dead, because of them, and while she hadn’t actually killed Hannah, she hadn’t saved her either. Hannah’s blood may have been on Shauna’s hands, but it was on Melissa’s too.
