They walked by, neither paying attention to just another passerby on the sidewalk.
Then, in unison, they turned. Stared at each other.
"Do I know you," they asked, almost as though sharing one breath. Then, they both laughed.
"I'm sure we haven't met," she started, "but I swear there's something familiar about you."
He nodded, grinning. "I thought so, too. There's a nice coffee shop over on Thirteenth Street; we could discuss this strange case of déjà vu, if you have the time."
She smiled. "Why not? I'm in no particular hurry. Coffee and a chat sound nice."
"Okay; c'mon."
