Tommy didn't want a funeral so instead Doyle sits in his car outside the crematorium while inside Tommy's body is being reduced to ashes. He bows his head, closes his eyes, and remembers Tommy in his own way. When he looks up again he sees Bodie, dressed for the funeral they're not having.
"I didn't think you'd come," Doyle says.
"Couldn't let you mourn alone, could I?"
"It still gets to you? Death, I mean."
"Yeah, it still gets to me." Bodie's eyes are somber, dark with pain. "You move on. You remember and you move on. You have to."
