"Kindly keep your unruly dog under control," the pompous woman demanded of Adam, the feathers on her hat nodding in agreement. "He's already stolen two sausage rolls and a vol-au-vent."
"Bleurgh!" the large dog said.
"He probably didn't realise they were mushroom," Adam explained. "I expect he thought they were chicken."
"It is of no consequence what his preferences might be, he should not be taking them."
She stormed away, and Adam turned to Ros, who was struggling not to laugh. "Successful?" he asked.
"Oh yes, we shall soon be hearing exactly which secrets she is passing onto her 'friend'."
